- Direct replacement for Detroit Diesel OEM parts W470589062300 or 470589062300.
- Designed to be used for Detroit Diesel DD13, DD15 and DD16 built on or after March 23, 2016.
- This kit includes a timing plate and spacer stand required when working on the new cam and idler gears. The front locking tool ( fork ) will no longer be required for timing purposes and will not be included with this new timing tool set.
- Simply install the timing plate onto the camshaft housing with the two short mounting bolts provided and use the markings on the plate to line up the holes with the appropriate engine. The Long Mounting Bolts are only used when a spacer stand is needed. DO NOT USE the old timing tool W470589104000 or the exhaust camshaft will show to be approximately one-half of a tooth out of time when the engine is rotated to Top-Dead-Center (TDC) and the intake camshaft will show to be very close to being in time.
